Fixing the Guild Empty

Fixing the Guild

Tonight, we talked about what to do with the guild. The storyline has gotten out of hand. Lore breaking has been occurring all over the place and the story has shifted from its original intention. A group of us met tonight to figure out what to about that and here's what we decided needs to be done:
  • A storyline shift. The story will move forward into the future. This allows all current character relationships to remain intact. The idea is this:
    - The civil war within the movement set things so far off track that Ani has decided to renew his efforts. He is recruiting again and trying to instill his hope for the future in new members and old members alike.
  • A rule set for RP. We will use the RP Guide I wrote in the FAQ section for this.
  • Monthly meetings for the group to assess how the guild is progressing and make any necessary changes. That group includes me, Narith, Anioneth, Edralane and Arthren.
  • Fixing some of the lore breaks committed so far in a way that at least makes some sort of sense with the lore. This will include deleting some events entirely and rewriting others.

This will mean a few things for our members:
  • Old members who have already taken part in guild events will remain as they are with few changes, if any, to their past to fix the events that created this problem in the first place. We will help you to fix your histories if this is the case.
  • Recent members who missed out on the guild events will have the opportunity to officially join in with the cause to restore Quel'Thalas.
  • We will work extensively with the characters involved in the mess to help them fix their characters.
  • We will all be expected to adhere to RP rules. New RPers and old alike will be guided through this. We won't kick you out for breaking the rules, but there will be consequences if you don't correct your actions after breaking one or continually break them.
  • New events will begin as soon as the reconstruction and repairs have been made, starting with recruitment meetings that can include new and old members alike. Some will already be in-character members of the movement and others will be joining it. We will make an attempt to stagger these so that everyone who cares to gets a chance to attend such a meeting.

Remember that you're always welcome to make suggestions and bring up concerns with Ani and Narith. You don't have to be part of the group have a say in how the guild works. That's how this reconstruction started in the first place. If you aren't happy with something, tell them.

Fixing the Guild Empty

Over the course of the day, I have talked to the people involved in the changing storyline. Said storyline has been smoothed out and the changes are as follows:
  • Fadearrow's resurrection is a mystery to everyone. No-one was involved and no-one knows how he came back, only that he did.
  • Fadearrow never did and cannot make Death Knights.
  • Sardron is alive. During his duel with Fadearrow, he passed out and awoke with amnesia. Fadearrow manipulated him via telepathic whispers and bent him to his will.
  • Sardron escaped the explosion in Azshara by diving through a mage portal before anyone could stop him. He is now free of Fadearrow's influence and is trying to put his life back together with Amabelia's help.
  • Sardron's character has been reworked. He is now 17 and never was Anioneth's adopted son. He is instead an initiate of the Blood Knights.
  • Fadearrow is dead for good.
  • The time travel pre-Cataclysm event never happened.

With the story now smoothed over, we are ready to start RPing again. Introduction events will start soon.
